I served as a general content strategist at The Browser Company of NY (BCNY). My work included designing and implementing templates and guidelines for member communications, including weekly update emails and visual release notes, streamlining outreach to over 500k Arc Browser users.

BCNY is a startup focused on developing browsers that streamline tedious tasks and incorporate AI. They've ventured into the mobile market with Arc Search, featuring an AI-driven search that compiles results from several sources that aren't based on top ranking SEO (like Google Search).

When I joined BCNY, they were focused on their latest browser which meant member communications and editorial review needed support.

    I reviewed and refined templates and macros for their Resource Center AI Chatbot (Archie), as well as collaborated on blog posts and marketing pages. Most notably: the Arc Search landing page and the Arc Search Hidden Features blog post.

    Staging media for every medium

    Managing member updates meant including the visuals for posts, like gifs. A lot of staged gifs were of simple gestures for viewers to focus on without distraction.

  • Easel (Visual Release Notes) Template

    I created a process and template for release notes while sharing them across iOS, macOS, and Windows to over 500k members weekly (drafted, staged, and published). Check out a few samples of visual release notes I shared for v1.58, v1.56 , and v1.59.

    I also reviewed and refined templates and macros for their Resource Center AI Chatbot (Archie), as well as collaborated on blog posts and marketing pages. Most notably: the Arc Search landing page and the Arc Search Hidden Features blog post.

Service Overhaul and Content Design

I was a Product Manager and Content Designer for GitHub Sponsors.

GitHub Sponsors adds the option to financially support open source work via GitHub.com. It’s Patreon but for open source developers. When I joined Sponsors, they were experiencing growing pains.

After the program’s initial success, the service page was outdated and needed to address both peer contributors and potential sponsors from an enterprise level. At the same time we needed to provide a smoother, informed experience that was legally compliant in order to reduce churn.

UX Writing and Translations Enablement for the Public Spaces Incubator

I served as a UX Writer and translations manager for New_ Public’s Public Spaces Incubator.

The Public Spaces Incubator is an international partnership between four public service media organizations and New_ Public to develop prototypes for digital conversation spaces that offer a healthy forum for connection and increase engagement in civic discourse.

I joined the incubator to support their efforts to expand language support while maintaining high-quality UX strings for diverse audiences.

AllyGuide brought awareness to causes around racial injustice and civic actions you can take to support your community. This initiative was later picked up by GitHub (Microsoft) and evolved for internal teams to participate in their local communities.

    AllyGuide started as a volunteer project aiming to provide informational resource and help with civic action during the height of BLM protests. With limited resources, the project was slated to be operational before the next voting cycle.
