I consult for content strategy, write and edit articles, and offer guidance and review for the underrepresented community trying to get into tech.
I've also taken the time to learn and improve my skills as well as gain more awareness of current events and how to help. As pandemic started and the focus on racial injustice became more prominent, I volunteered to work on projects focusing on Black Lives Matter and providing resources for BIPOC. A resource site I contributed to even received funding from GitHub / Microsoft!
As an early startup, I created and defined processes for Doppler's content and content marketing. This ranged from voice and tone, internal contributions, partnerships, content distribution, review processes, and more.
As part of a new ecosystem marketing and UX team dedicated to developers, I leveraged my experience to draft content and contribution guidelines, created copy templates for processes and campaigns (from ads to events and briefs), and supported goals for internationalization into the EU through proposals, research, and demand generation materials.
Shifting from my role in marketing at GitHub, I joined the product organization to help grow GitHub Sponsors by working with internal groups (such as legal and billing) to external groups and partners (such as Stripe) in order to expand the program's reach to more regions worldwide at a sustainable rate while adding features developers want.
I started at GitHub right before it became a part of Microsoft, where I made sure to elevate and grow the voice to reflect Microsoft while maintaining GitHub's fun and conversational style regardless of whether it's a thought leadership article or an instructional guide. I created a process for contributions both internally and externally while managing the content pipeline for all of GitHub.
I created technical manuals, supporting documentation for students, faculty, and staff, where I also managed and produced content for a regular university-wide periodical.
I transitioned from civil engineer at ARINC (now Collins Aerospace) to serving as a technical writer, administrator for a customer ticketing service, and I traveled to Department of Defense (DoD), government-based facilities (airports, power plants) to conduct client-specific training for perimeter security systems.
